More than 20 years back, lung cancer patients did not have many treatment options and most patients died very quickly.
Now there is an explosion of choices for patients with a type called “non-small cell lung cancer”.

Lot of new drugs were presented and discussed at the ASCO 2026 Annual Meeting in Chicago ( ASCO- American Society of Clinical Oncology).
Sunvozertinib: Abstract LBA8500
Amivantamab plus lazertinib in atypical EGFR-mutated NSCLC: Abstract 8501
Neladalkib in patients with advanced ALK+ NSCLC: Abstract 8503
Pralsetinib as first-line treatment of RET fusion–positive: Abstract 8504
Sacituzumab tirumotecan (sac-TMT) plus pembrolizumab: Abstract 8506
Benmelstobart plus chemotherapy and Anlotinib: Abstract LBA8507
The subset of patients cancers, who can be targeted by therapy would have prognosis improved by these drugs.
